Information for beginners and new starters on the pottery classes and pottery workshops offered at Lark Lane Pottery Liverpool

Beginners Pottery Classes

Beginner’s Starter-Blocks are run by John Ayling on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Thursday afternoons. The blocks cost is based on £25.00 per session with one session per week for two calendar months.

Starter-Block Information:

The beginners Starter-Block sessions and the Members sessions are combined; we are there to teach you as new-starters and to give assistance to others in the session. We aim to teach you as many techniques as we can in your starter-block, guiding you through techniques on the potter’s wheel and by hand-building.

Once you have completed a Starter-Block with us you will know the basics and you become a Member, enabling you to book onto any session.

If you would like to start learning pottery on a Start-Block, please read the cancellation policy, below.

Starter-Block Cancellation Policy

If you have booked a Starter-Block, we have made a commitment to keep you a space so we hope you will be able to keep your booking. If you do have to cancel, please read on:

  • Please note that the booking system cannot generate refunds, so.....

  • .....if you cancel 72 hours or more before the start of your first session we will arrange for a full refund to be made.

  • .....if you cancel less than 72 hours before the start of you first session we will be able to arrange for a full refund only if we are able to re-fill your space. If we cannot re-fill your space we will give you a 50% refund.

  • If you miss any sessions within your block we are sorry but we will not be able to offer a refund for that session as your place will have been reserved for you.

  • Up to one session per block; if you give us a week or more notice that you will not be able to make a session, we will give you a free-coupon enabling you to book a replacement session as a Member once you have completed your Starter-Block.

  • Please see the BOOK page if you cannot make a particular session (please do not try to cancel a session yourself as the system we use will cancel your entire block).
